Activi­ties in Tune with Nature

Activi­ties in Northern Saimaa (Heinä­ve­si, Liperi and Rääkkylä) take you into forests, the archi­pe­la­go and lakes – with a guide or indepen­dent­ly. In summer, new cruise routes lead through the national landsca­pes of Heinä­ve­si and the archi­pe­la­go of Liperi. In winter, the Pääsky­vuo­ri Ski Center in Heinä­ve­si invites you to the slopes.

Group programs offer memorable experiences for wellbeing days and team events: bake sourdough bread, play the tradi­tio­nal kantele together, or enjoy wellness treat­ments. Good food and unique venues for meetings and celebra­tions crown the experience.

Self-Guided Activi­ties and Experiences

Anyone who claims that trave­ling in their own country is expen­si­ve forgets the rights of every indivi­dual: forests full of berries and mushrooms, hiking trails, ski slopes, and picnic areas with readily available firewood. In Northern Saimaa you can see and experience authen­tic rural life, cows and horses grazing in the fields as they used to. Along idyllic dirt roads you can cycle from inn to inn or drive from village to village.
