North Saimaa is a tourist area in North Karelia consisting of Heinävesi, Liperi and Rääkkylä. These municipalities are connected by waterways aand each municipality has a lively guest marina. Another unifying factor is the diverse and easily accessible hiking and cycling routes. The third unifying factor is the rich and down-to-earth Karelian and Orthodox culture, with a touch of Savo culture, as North Saimaa is on the Savo-Karelia border.

Heinävesi
