You can get to us by boat, bicycle, train, bus, your own car and carpooling. The nearest airport is in Joensuu. Finland’s largest inland ferry, Arvinsalmi, connects Liperi and Rääkkylä, and is worth experiencing.
In Liperi you can enjoy the rural landscape, in Rääkkylä you can ride in the green lake landscape and in Heinävesi you can ride through the canals. There are no rush hours.

By train
From Helsinki, you can travel directly to Kitee or Joensuu. The rail connection between Tampere and Joensuu runs via Pieksämäki.
By bus
Long-distance buses between Kuopio and Joensuu travel via Liperi. From Joensuu, local buses operate to Liperi and Heinävesi.
By air
You can fly to Joensuu, Kuopio or Savonlinna, from where you can continue your journey by train or bus.
By boat
You can arrive by boat at the guest harbors in Heinävesi, Liperi and Rääkkylä. The harbors offer fuel, sauna services, accommodation, cafés and restaurants.
